How they are built
Seven stages between an idea and a released system.
Most of what we test does not reach the end of this. A strategy has to hold up on data it was never fitted to and survive its own trading costs before it goes anywhere near a client account.

Risk controls
Risk limits are written into the system, and they do not move when a trade goes against you.
Position sizing, maximum exposure and the drawdown at which a system stops trading are part of the code and are tested alongside the entry rules rather than added at the end. Each system also states the market conditions it is built for and the ones it is not.
About
Founded in 2015, out of a career at Swissquote.
Nimrod Szakacs founded Pandora Capital in 2015, after working at Swissquote Bank in London. The job put him in front of the full range of the bank’s FX clients, from retail traders running small accounts through professional traders to institutions and hedge funds.
A lot of that time went on one question: what the consistently profitable minority were doing that everyone else was not. Most of it came down to how they sized positions, when they stayed out of the market, and how much of their process was fixed in advance rather than decided in the moment. Pandora Capital exists to put that kind of process into software.
